Youssef Abdelaal started their work experience at Deloitte as an Audit Associate from October 2009 to March 2014. Youssef then joined Seaboard Overseas and Trading Group in April 2014 as a Financial Controller for Flour Mills of Ghana Limited. In this role, they reduced the financial reporting cycle time, led the implementation of a new ERP system, and successfully transitioned to new accounting standards. In October 2018, Youssef became the Director of Finance for Paramount Mills (Pty) Ltd., a subsidiary of Seaboard Corporation. In this position, they redesigned the reporting system, rebuilt and trained the accounting team, implemented new processes, and ensured proper purchase accounting and consolidation of the subsidiary. Youssef held this role until August 2019 when they were promoted to the position of Director of Finance for Seaboard Overseas and Trading Group.
Youssef Abdelaal completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Accounting degree at The American University in Cairo from 2004 to 2008.
In addition to their formal education, Youssef has also obtained several certifications. In 2015, they completed the MITx CTL.SC2x Supply Chain Design course and the MITx CTL.SC1x Supply Chain and Logistics Fundamentals course, both offered by edX. Youssef also holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant, which they obtained from the Colorado State Board of Accountancy in November 2012.

Seaboard Overseas and Trading Group markets wheat, corn, soybean meal, and other commodities in bulk to third parties and affiliated companies. We source, transport and market approximately 14 million tons of agricultural commodities each year. The division integrates the service of delivering commodities to its customers in the U.S., South America, Europe, Australia and Asia, through the use of chartered and owned bulk vessels.
