Wendy Whitener

Wendy Whitener has a diverse work experience that includes various roles in the cruise line industry. Wendy is currently working as the Director of North America Sales at Seabourn Cruise Line since 2022. Prior to that, they had a long tenure at Carnival Cruise Line, where they held positions such as Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, DIRECTOR of CHARTERS, CORPORATE & INCENTIVE SALES, and BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR. Wendy'sresponsibilities involved sales management, marketing evaluation, brand development, and building relationships with travel partners. Before joining the cruise line industry, Wendy worked as a GUEST LECTURER at East Carolina University from 2005 to 2010.

Wendy Whitener earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interpersonal Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1994 to 1998. In 2018, they completed a Strategic Sales & Customer Marketing program at Wharton Online, specializing in Selling Skills and Sales Operations. Additionally, Wendy obtained certifications such as "Make the Move from Individual Contributor to Manager," "Sales Management Foundations," and "Transitioning to Management for Salespeople" from LinkedIn in 2021, as well as an "Advanced Social Media Strategy Training and Certification" from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 2019.
