Carlos F. Ortiz Ph.D. has a vast work experience spanning over four decades. Carlos F. started their career with CONTROLEC S.A -AGUT in 1980 as National Sales Manager. In 1984, they worked as Electronic division chief at Oceanographic Institute of the Ecuador Navy, and also as Electromagnetic Theory and Electric Circuits Instructor at Catholic University of Guayaquil. From 1992 to 2002, they held two roles at RESON Inc, namely Sales Manager, Latin America and Test Engineer, and Hardware Engineer. In 2011, they were an International Business Development Consultant at LABDC, and from 2012 to 2015, they were VP Sales and Marketing at Seaphantom International. Lastly, they were a Consultant, LATAM Business Development at Seafloor Systems, Inc. from 2015.

Carlos F. Ortiz Ph.D. began their education in 1976 at Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral, where they earned a BSEE in Electrical Engineering by 1984. Carlos F. then attended Santa Barbara City College from 1999 to 2002, earning a CCNA-Cisco Certified Network Associate in Cisco Networking. Carlos F. continued their education at the University of La Verne from 2004 to 2006, earning an MBA in Business Administration-Leadership. Finally, they earned a Ph.D. in International Business Administration from Antioch University between 2009 and 2011.
