Chijioke Theo Mbaso, Ph.D, MSc, CPP

Chijioke Theo Mbaso has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Chijioke Theo started their career as a Security Operative at Vision Security Group from September 2006 to December 2012. Chijioke Theo then worked as a Security Shift Coordinator at Wilson James and later had a 3-month secondment as a Security Manager at Santander Bank Triton Square in 2018.

In 2018, Chijioke joined Protection Group International as an Intelligence & Geopolitics Consultant, where they monitored the 2019 Nigeria Elections for fake news, misinformation, and various social and political disruptions. Chijioke Theo also provided geopolitical analysis for Nigeria, utilizing their language proficiency in Ibo and Hausa to offer risk analysis and threat assessments for terrorist, militant groups, and political organizations.

Chijioke pursued higher education and in 2015, started their PhD in Policing, Security, and Community Safety. This program is ongoing and is expected to be completed by September 2022.

Most recently, Chijioke joined SilverSEAL Corporation, where they have held two roles. Starting in April 2019, they served as an Intelligence and Threat Monitoring Specialist EMEA at Bloomberg until March 2020. Following this, they transitioned to the role of a Security Operations Center Analyst EMEA at Bloomberg, starting from March 2020.

Chijioke Theo Mbaso, Ph.D, MSc, CPP has a strong educational background in the field of security and counter-terrorism studies. In 2002, Chijioke obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from Ahmadu Bello University. Moving forward, in 2013, Chijioke pursued a Certificate in Terrorism Studies from the University of St Andrews. Later that same year, Chijioke completed a Master's Degree in Terrorism and Counter Terrorism Studies from the University of East London School of Law and Social Sciences.

In 2015, Chijioke enrolled at London Metropolitan University to pursue a Ph.D in Policing, Security and Community Safety. This program lasted from 2015 to 2022, showcasing Chijioke's dedication and commitment to acquiring extensive knowledge in the field.

Aside from academic achievements, Chijioke also holds additional certifications. In 2012, Chijioke obtained a certification in Close Protection from the Security Industry Association (SIA). Furthermore, in 2018, Chijioke achieved the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification from ASIS International, further solidifying their expertise in the security field.
