Matthew Green has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and cryptography. Matthew is currently working as a Co-Founder at Sealance Corp. Prior to that, they served as an Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering. Before joining Johns Hopkins, they held roles at Johns Hopkins University as an Assistant Professor and Assistant Research Professor. Matthew also worked as a Chief Scientist at Cryptography Engineering LLC and served as the CTO at Independent Security Evaluators. Matthew's early career involved working as a Senior Technical Staff at AT&T Labs.

Matthew Green earned a Bachelor's degree and Bachelor's of Music from Oberlin College in an unspecified year and completed a double degree in Computer Science and Electronic Music. Later, they pursued a PhD in Computer Science at The Johns Hopkins University from 2003 to 2008.
