To be eligible for this job, you must have at least six years of experience in SEO, specifically in executing organic search campaigns. Additionally, you should have worked in an agency and on client implementation for at least six years. Sales or upsell experience for six or more years and four years of direct customer service experience is required.
Demonstrate the ability to demonstrate and take ownership of partner accounts and campaigns without support.
Experience managing five concurrent client engagements, four of which are enterprise-size engagements. You will be able to demonstrate monthly recurring revenue management.
Four years of direct experience in creating, implementing, and monitoring SEO strategies.
The ideal candidate is proficient in using Microsoft Excel, skilled in importing and exporting data from various sources, creating filters, v-lookups, and pivot tables, and experienced in interpreting and producing analytics. They must also demonstrate expertise in crafting effective SEO strategies through this analysis.
Communication is critical in this role, so the candidate must also showcase their ability to convey important information to different audiences within the client organization, including the C-Suite, marketing, finance, and IT teams. They should tailor their message to each group's specific needs and priorities.
Project management skills are also required, as the candidate will concurrently manage and prioritize many projects and deadlines while managing internal and external expectations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite is essential.
Demonstrate the ability to identify and recommend solutions to technical SEO issues, including page elements, CMS, information architecture, URL structure, and server-related issues. The candidate must demonstrate experience with industry-standard tools such as Ahrefs, Moz, Majestic, SEMRush, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, GA4, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, BrightLocal, and more.
Understanding how marketing channel strategies work together, including paid search, social media, and email marketing, is also essential. The candidate should have experience developing, managing, executing, and measuring SEO campaigns for medium-to-large brands and eCommerce websites.
Excellent knowledge of search engine criteria/algorithm updates (Panda, Penguin, Pigeon, Fred, RankBrain, BERT, etc.), exceptional analytics, project management, organizational skills, and a fundamental understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are also required.
Responsibilities
You will thoroughly examine our partners' websites using various SEO tools as part of our services. We then create Point of View (POV) reports to convey any SEO issues to our partners. Additionally, you will identify potential SEO tasks that could benefit our partners and prospects the most. We prioritize these opportunities by considering the difficulty level, cost, and impact on the website's success. This information is communicated to internal and external stakeholders, including whether a budget is on track.
Working with cross-functional teams, you will plan, implement, and improve campaign performance to align with our client's goals and initiatives. On a day-to-day basis, manage campaign activities and ensure client deliverables are met—act as SEO experts during phone calls, providing education and answering questions about our strategic recommendations. Educate clients on SEO best practices.
You will develop new SEO strategies that support online marketing efforts and execute these strategies, including keyword research, on-page optimization, link growth, technical analysis, competitive analysis, and reporting. To ensure quality, we perform quality assurance on SEO deliverables. We drive innovation and implement testing strategies to continually uncover opportunities for optimization, enhance learning, and improve performance.
We monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our efforts, measuring actual results against desired outcomes. Furthermore, you are expected to find opportunities to improve the team, company processes, and clients, taking the initiative to challenge the status quo as a self-starter.
