Warren Schay

Warren Schay has a diverse work experience in software engineering, architecture, and management roles. Warren is currently a staff software engineer at SeatGeek since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a senior software engineer at SeatGeek from July 2020 to September 2021. Before joining SeatGeek, Warren held various roles at Synthesis Software Technologies (Pty) Ltd, including senior architect, head of managed services, and software engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for cloud-first architecture, team leadership, project management, client account management, and development of container-based architecture leveraging AWS services. Additionally, they were involved in mentorship, technical recruitment, agile coaching, pre-sales, and proposal creation. Warren also contributed to the operationalization of a new Managed Services business area within Synthesis, overseeing business strategy, costing, resourcing, and service management.

Warren Schay earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Information Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand between the years 2003 and 2006. Warren then pursued a Master of Science in Engineering in Software Engineering from the same university from 2007 to 2011. Warren furthered their education and obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of the Witwatersrand from 2016 to 2018.
