Micah Schaafsma

Micah Schaafsma is the AVP for Information Technology at Seattle Pacific University. Micah has over fifteen years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on web development and database administration.

After graduating from college, Micah started their career as a lead web programmer and database administrator for AGS Internet Services. Micah was responsible for developing and supporting database-driven ecommerce websites. Micah also provided business intelligence to inform company and client business decisions.

In 2004, Micah left AGS to join Seattle Pacific University as the AVP for Information Technology. In this role, they oversee all aspects of the university's IT operations and works with faculty and staff to ensure that technology is used effectively to support the university's mission.

Micah Schaafsma has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business. They also have a CIO Leadership Development Program from the Northwest Academic Computing Consortium in Executive IT Leadership. Lastly, they have a BA in Computer Science with a Systems Emphasis from Seattle Pacific University.
