Petr Kungurtsev

Petr Kungurtsev has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Petr is currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Secondmind since May 2022. Before that, they worked at Enthought as a Scientific Software Developer from October 2019 to April 2022. Prior to that, Petr held the position of Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher at the University of Cambridge from October 2016 to September 2020. Petr also worked as a Research Assistant in Computational Aerodynamics at the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics SB RSA from November 2014 to July 2016. Petr started their career as a 4th-year project member conducting research on Experimental Heat Transfer and Multiphase Flows at the Institute of Thermophysics SB RAS from December 2012 to June 2014.

Petr Kungurtsev has a diverse education history. Petr obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Computational and applied mechanics at Novosibirsk State University (NSU) from 2014 to 2016. Petr also earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Nonequilibrium Processes from NSU from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, Petr attended the Specialized Educational Scientific Center NSU from 2008 to 2010, where they completed their Senior High School education with a focus on Physics.

In addition to their formal education, Petr has obtained several certifications. Petr obtained a certification in Bloomberg Market Concepts from Bloomberg LP in May 2020. In March 2016, they completed an online course Introduction to Machine Learning, achieving a score of 100%, and received a certificate from Coursera Course Certificates. Petr also completed a Project Management School program offered by Noveo Group in July 2015.
