Matthew Shopp is a Managing Director with Secretariat based in Washington, DC. He has worked on projects around the world in a wide range of industries, including oil & gas, manufacturing, construction, real estate, consumer goods, media & telecom, and financial services. He has deep experience in developing and frontier economies, with a focus on Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Asia, and Eastern Europe.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Shopp lived and worked in the Middle East where he consulted on billion-dollar construction and logistics contracts for a Fortune 500 company. He also has experience assisting government contractors on financial and accounting compliance issues. He holds an MBA in Finance (honors) and a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Pennsylvania State University. He frequently lectures on international finance and valuation issues at universities and industry events.
