Josh Devan

Josh Devan has a work experience as a Senior Software Engineer at SecureCo since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Mechdyne Corporation from February 2016 to March 2020, where they developed multithreaded, cross-platform applications using modern C++, architected asynchronous, event-driven TCP/IP network code, and utilized GPU acceleration for video processing. Before Mechdyne Corporation, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at William & Mary from 2009 to 2016. In this role, they developed software for reconstructing particle trajectories from detector data, calibrated detector response, and analyzed high statistics data in a parallel computing environment using C++.

Josh Devan completed their education with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University in the years 2001 to 2004. Josh then pursued a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Old Dominion University from 2006 to 2008. After that, they attended William & Mary, where they obtained a Master of Science in Physics from 2008 to 2010, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from 2008 to 2016.
