Zubair Alam

Zubair Alam has a diverse work experience spanning over 12 years. Zubair began their career as a System Administrator at VMC, where they were responsible for managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and server virtualization. After working there for six years, they moved on to Tata Consultancy Services as a System Administrator, providing Level 3 Support for critical financial applications. Zubair then transitioned to SecureOps as a SIEM Administrator, managing and supporting SIEM infrastructure including Splunk, ArcSight, and QRadar. Following that, they joined CN as a SIEM Admin and Senior Technology Integrator, where they provided infrastructure support for ArcSight, including managing ArcMC, Loggers, ESM, and Smart Connectors. Currently, they are working at SecureOps as a SiEM Engineer - Content Developer, focusing on creating security use cases for log sources and optimizing complex use cases using various analytic methods.

Zubair Alam's education history includes completing an AEC in CCNA at Champlain College in Saint-Lambert, QC from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from Al Khair University in Karachi, Pakistan from 1999 to 2000. Additionally, Zubair has obtained multiple certifications, including Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin and Splunk Core Certified Power User from Splunk in 2022 and 2021 respectively. Zubair also holds certifications from Microsoft, such as MCSA: Windows Server 2012 and Microsoft Certified Professional, and has completed various ITIL and IBM certifications.
