Chris Woehrle

Chris Woehrle has over 15 years of experience in the technology industry. Chris began their career in 2004 as a Senior Manager of Business Development at Nokia, where they developed a longer-term strategy for the Voice Solutions Group and created an M&A strategy focusing on the Fixed to Mobile Convergence space. In 2006, they moved to Motorola as a Director of Business Ventures & Development, where they evaluated new strategic directions with business unit leaders and generated $30M in cash and eliminated annual burn rates of over $50M through leading several divestiture transactions. In 2010, they joined Motorola Solutions as a Director of Business Development, where they led a transactions-focused team in supporting expansion into new/adjacent market segments, and divestitures to streamline the business. In 2013, they founded and became the President of Great Lakes Motor Products, which focuses on the design and production of fractional horsepower electric motors and associated blower assemblies. In 2016, they joined U.S. Cellular as a Director of Strategic Investments, Acquisitions and Partnerships, where they led the investment team and spearheaded the restart of Corporate Venture Capital activities. Chris also closed 2 equity deals and served on the board of directors of 3 companies. In 2018, they became a Board Member at Fixt: On-Site, On-Demand Device Solutions and Internet of Things America (IoT America). In 2019, they joined SB Solutions LLC as a Principal, providing strategy and investment services to early stage/smaller companies in the telecom space. Chris also led strategy development for a start-up in the IoT space, and assisted with fund-raising efforts for their Series A investment round. In 2021, they joined Security Enhancement Systems as the COO/CFO.

Chris Woehrle received their MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1996, where they studied Finance and Marketing. Chris also received their BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University in 1989.
