Renee Smith

Renee Smith serves as the Associate Chief Medical Officer at Security Health Plan since April 2024, following the role of Chief Medical Officer at Blanchard Valley Health System from November 2021 to April 2024. Prior to that, Renee held various leadership positions within Aspirus from 2006 to November 2021, including Executive Director of Aspirus Network, Inc. while also serving as Chief Medical Officer for the network. Renee's experience includes providing clinical leadership as a Family Practice Physician at Antigo Clinic and Chief Medical Officer at Aspirus Langlade Hospital, where strategic alignment for physician needs was prioritized. Additionally, Renee contributed as Chief of Staff at Langlade Hospital and Regional Director of Aspirus Clinics, Inc., focusing on optimization and quality assurance initiatives. Educational qualifications include an MBA from UW Oshkosh, a Doctor of Medicine degree, and advanced training in Family Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin, along with a Bachelor's degree in Medical Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
