Andrea Buhl has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Andrea began their career in 2004 at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics as a Registered Nurse in the Burn/Trauma ICU. In 2007, they joined Sedgwick as a Utilization Review Nurse and later progressed to roles such as Clinical Supervisor, Manager of Clinical Consultation, and Director of Special Medical Programs.
In 2013, Andrea transitioned to Appomattox River Medical Center, where they served as a Family Nurse Practitioner until 2014. Andrea then returned to Sedgwick and held positions including Vice President of the Clinically Integrated Medical Program, Senior Vice President of the Clinically Integrated Medical Program, and currently, President of Managed Care since October 2020.
Andrea Buhl has a Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University, specializing in Family Practice, which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah from 2004 to 2006. Before pursuing their bachelor's degree, they attended Brigham Young University from 1995 to 1998 for general studies. In terms of certifications, Andrea has obtained a Family Nurse Practitioner certification from the ANCC and a Registered Nurse certification from the Pennsylvania state board of nursing.
