John Thiel

John Thiel has a diverse work experience in various companies and industries. John started their career at Mercury Marine as a Research and Development Systems Analyst, where they played a crucial role in preparing the organization for ISO 9001:2000 registration. John then worked at Kohler Co. as a Manager of Mechanical Engineering, leading a team responsible for a wide range of engine-powered electrical generator products.

After that, John joined eSolar as the Director of Product Development, Mechanical Engineering and Test, where they built and managed a budget for a multi-million-dollar endeavor in the field of Concentrated Solar Power (CSP). John also led the core mechanical and test team in a fast-paced start-up environment.

John then moved on to Broan-NuTone LLC, where they served as the Director of Engineering - Global Household Ventilation. John played a key role in leading strategic changes, talent acquisition, and system integration for the company's largest household ventilation product line.

Next, John joined Bellwether Coffee as the Vice President of Engineering, overseeing technical coffee roaster development and managing a multi-million-dollar engineering budget for the venture-backed start-up.

Currently, they hold the position of Vice President, Engineering and Technical Operations at Seed Beauty. In this role, they are responsible for leading package design, driving operational cost savings through continuous improvement and automation, and managing the engineering and technical operations for the company's cosmetics brands.

Throughout their career, John has demonstrated their ability to drive innovation, lead cross-functional teams, and achieve cost savings through operational efficiency.

John Thiel has a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from Marquette University. John also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
