VP R&D at Seed-X

Omri Cohen has a diverse work experience spanning across various companies and roles. Omri started their career as a Software Developer at the IDF/Ministry of Defense in 2004 and later became a Software Team Leader at Trivnet, where they led a development team and integrated third-party technologies. In 2006, they founded GlucoMobile, a telemedicine company, and served as the CTO and Founder. Omri designed and developed a medical platform for monitoring patients' glucose levels and recruited key personnel for the company. From 2008 to 2010, Omri worked as a Software Manager at Crescendo Networks, managing development teams and defining product architecture. At LifeWatch Services, Inc., they held two roles as an Innovation Product Manager and SW Manager & Architect, where they wrote product requirements, managed UX/UI strategies, and led the development of a medical data center. In 2015, they were the CTO at Woobi, overseeing the R&D department and developing a production environment SaaS product for online media advertising. At Data2Life, they served as the VP R&D from 2017 to 2019. In their most recent role as the CTO at Mappo, starting in 2019, Omri harnessed Artificial Intelligence to generate geo-content for various applications. Currently, they hold the position of VP R&D at Seed-X, an AI company focused on computer vision and customized deep learning algorithms for seed breeding and crop production.

Omri Cohen completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev between the years 2000 and 2002. After a gap in their education, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Art Therapy/Therapist from Lesley University, which they completed in 2012. In addition to their formal education, Omri also obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in the year 2018.
