Carolyn Kandusi

Program Officer at Segal Family Foundation

Carolyn is a Program Officer based in Arusha, Tanzania. She supports due diligence on potential and current partners for SFF’s Tanzania portfolio.

Carolyn has many years’ experience building grassroots movements and managing civil society initiatives in East Africa. She graduated from Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology with her MSc in Governance and Leadership. In addition to being an alumna of YALI Regional Leadership Centre, she completed the Leading in Public Life Program offered by University of Cape Town Graduate School for Development Policy and Practice. Before joining SFF, Carolyn worked for PINGOs Forum, a national NGO advocating for indigenous communities’ rights. She has also served as a freelance consultant for CSOs and the Danish Trade Union Council for Development Cooperation. Carolyn is passionate about advocating for youth and women’s rights; she dedicates time to empower micro-entrepreneurs with skills and networks to start or improve their businesses.
