Heather Vital

VP, R&D Strategy at Seismic Therapeutic

Heather Vital has over fifteen years of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, with a focus on research and development strategy. Heather is currently the Vice President of R&D Strategy at Seismic Therapeutic, a position they have held since March of 2022. Prior to their current role, Heather served as the Senior Director of Portfolio Strategy & Operations at Relay Therapeutics from October 2020 to March 2022. From May 2019 to October 2020, they were the Senior Director of Program Leadership at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals. Heather spent seven years at Biogen as the Director of R&D Strategy and Portfolio Leadership from September 2012 to May 2019. Heather began their career in the industry as a Business Development Intern at Epizyme from June 2011 to March 2012. Heather also interned at Baxter Healthcare as a Global Marketing Intern from January 2010 to December 2010. Prior to their work in the biotech industry, Heather was a Senior Consultant at Clarkston Consulting from January 2005 to August 2009 and a Consultant at Wyeth Biotech from January 2005 to February 2009. Heather started their professional career as a Medical Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts from April 2004 to November 2004.

Heather Vital has a MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a BS from Babson College, and a SM from Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology.
