SeKON is looking for a Video Telecommunications Specialist to join our talented and innovative team supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in San Antonio, TX. As a Video Telecommunications Specialist, you will provide essential support for Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and Secure Video Teleconferencing (SVTC) services. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of VTC/SVTC hardware and software under the direction of DHA Video Conferencing Managers. This role involves managing all aspects of VTC/SVTC operations, including scheduling, setup, user support, and technical management to ensure seamless communication for various functions such as All Hands, Town Halls, and other organizational meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • VTC/SVTC Support and Maintenance: Provide installation, configuration, and maintenance of VTC/SVTC hardware and software to support DHA’s video conferencing needs, following guidelines from DHA Video Conferencing Managers.

  • Room Facilitation and IT Support: Act as a room facilitator, providing on-site VTC/SVTC support, including scheduling, call setup/connection, troubleshooting, and continuous attendance support as needed.

  • Meeting and Event Support: Deliver VTC/SVTC support for organizational events such as All Hands meetings, Town Halls, and other special functions or conferences, ensuring a smooth communication experience.

  • Customer Support and Troubleshooting: Assist with troubleshooting of video and audio-conferencing equipment and provide customer support for VTC/SVTC users.

  • Pre-Conference Preparation: Perform pre-video conference preparations, including equipment testing and ensuring the setup meets technical standards.

  • VTC Network Operations: Maintain and support the DHA Video Network Center (VNC) Bridge, performing audio and video call setups in coordination with the DHA VNC.

  • Training and End-User Support: Assist with end-user training on the use of VTC/SVTC equipment and ensure users can operate the systems effectively.

  • Asset and Incident Management: Assist with asset management, incident management, problem management, and configuration management using MHS ServiceNow ITSM tools.

  • VTC End Point Upgrades: Perform hardware and software upgrades for VTC endpoints using Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), ensuring systems are up to date.

  • Security Compliance: Install, configure, and implement IA security policies, including compliance with Defense Information Services Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and IA Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patches.

  • Enterprise VTC/SVTC Infrastructure Support: Support and maintain enterprise VTC/SVTC infrastructure, including IP and ISDN Gateways, Gatekeepers, Bridges, and other hardware related to audio and video conferencing services.

  • Documentation Management: Update existing documentation and create new documentation as needed to support tasks in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

This role requires strong technical skills in video conferencing support, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment to ensure high-quality video and audio communication across DHA locations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance required.

  • Strong consulting and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across fast-paced and dynamic teams and at various levels of leadership.

  • Strong understanding of Joint Health Service Support or Defense Health Agency processes.

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to present effectively to senior government officials.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with customers and program office members in a multi-vendor environment.

  • Willingness to serve in various ad hoc roles, including contributing to proposal efforts and participating in hiring processes.
