Fred Roy has a diverse work experience in the food industry. Fred is currently the Director of Food Safety & Quality at Select Food Products since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Ventura Foods as a Quality Assurance Manager from April 2018 to May 2022, and as a Food Safety Manager from May 2014 to December 2017. At Ventura Foods, they demonstrated expertise in optimizing production environments, reducing quality-related complaints, and implementing and managing the SQF Program. Before joining Ventura Foods, Fred worked as a Quality Control Manager at YaYA Foods Corp. from December 2017 to April 2018. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as a Technical Sales Representative at Epsilon Chemicals from July 2009 to April 2014, and as a Developmental Inspector at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency for a brief period in 2007.
Fred Roy completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science/Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan from 2002 to 2006. Fred later pursued a Master's degree in Foods Science and Agricultural Chemistry at McGill University - Macdonald Campus from 2007 to 2009.
