Steve DeAses has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and management. Steve is currently working as the Substation Engineering Manager at SELECT Power Systems since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at David Evans and Associates, Inc. where they held multiple roles including Substation Practice Leader and Substation Group Leader & Sr. Project Manager from October 2021 to February 2023.

Before joining David Evans and Associates, Inc., Steve was the Owner/President of Ace Stevens Consulting, where they provided engineering, management, business development, and production services to a wide range of clients from May 2010 to February 2023. Steve also worked as a Senior Power Engineer at R-DELTA ENGINEERS, INC from May 2019 to October 2021.

Steve has also worked for American Electric Power as a Senior Distribution Engineer/ICS Branch Director from May 2017 to May 2019, and at Emerson Network Power as a Sr. Supervising Engineer/Business Development from June 2013 to April 2014. Steve has served as an Adjunct Professor of Engineering at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi from August 2012 to May 2013.

Steve's earlier work experience includes serving as Manager-Electrical Engineering & Business Development at Bradleys, Inc. from July 2011 to May 2013, where they were responsible for motor repair, technical support, load testing services, and project management. Steve also worked as a Substation Engineer at American Electric Power from May 2004 to July 2011, where they specialized in designing and applying protection and control systems to the utility grid.

Steve DeAses, PE, MBA has an extensive education history. Steve first attended Del Mar College from 2001 to 2003, where they earned an Associate of Science degree in Mathematics. Steve then pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M University-Kingsville from 2003 to 2005.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Steve pursued higher education at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. From 2008 to 2010, they successfully completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Management.

In addition to their formal education, Steve has also obtained several certifications. In 2001, they became a Cisco Certified Network Associate, demonstrating their knowledge and expertise in computer networking. In 2011, they achieved the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, further validating their competence in engineering. The same year, Steve also became a Vibration Analyst: Category II after completing the necessary training through the Vibration Institute.

Furthermore, in 2013, they obtained the NETA Level II certification in Electrical Testing from the InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA). Two years later, Steve graduated from Leadership Corpus Christi as part of Class 43, demonstrating their dedication to professional development and leadership. Lastly, in 2017, they became a DDI Certified Facilitator (Management Trainer) through the Development Dimensions International (DDI).
