Derek O'Brien

Derek O'Brien has a range of experience in the field of web development and digital media design. Derek started their work experience in 2001 as a Web Consultant at the Federation of Freshwater Anglers. From 2005 to 2006, Derek worked as a Developer at TwelveTen. In 2007, they became a Lecturer in Interactive and Serverside Technologies at New College Nottingham, where they also served as a pathway mentor and pathway leader for the BA(hons) Digital Media Design program. In 2013, Derek founded their own company, Derek O'Brien Creative Solutions Limited, where they served as the Managing Director until 2017. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as an Application Architect at CHAPEL ROAD CREATIVE LIMITED. In 2019, Derek joined Selesti as a Web Developer and later became the Lead Developer in 2023. In 2021, they joined Ethica Global as a Web Developer and worked until 2022.

Derek O'Brien pursued education at New College Nottingham from 2003 to 2006, where they completed a FDa degree in Multimedia. Later, in 2007 and 2008, they attended Nottingham Trent University, earning a PGCE in Game and Interactive Media Design.
