Gustavo Santamaría

Gustavo Santamaría has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Gustavo is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Selia since January 2022, and was previously a Lead Software Engineer for the company from September 2021 to January 2022. Prior to their work at Selia, Gustavo worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Rappi from August 2019 to September 2021. Gustavo also worked as a Software Developer at Turpial Development from February 2017 to August 2019.

Before entering the software industry, Gustavo gained experience in the field of graphic design. Gustavo worked as a Graphic Designer at Bendito LABS in December 2016, Alcaldia de Chacao from September 2016 to December 2016, and Centro Cultural Chacao from June 2014 to October 2016. In addition, they worked as an Editor de vídeo at Exprésate en un Flash from January 2012 to September 2012.

Gustavo's early career included roles in photography and audio. Gustavo worked as a Photographer for Movimiento Fotográfico Venezolano from November 2011 to September 2012, where they were involved in production, photography sessions, and supervision of lighting and wardrobe. Gustavo also completed an audio internship at Taurus Studio from 2009 to 2010.

Gustavo Santamaría's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Cinematography from Universidad Central de Venezuela, which they obtained from 2013 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained several certifications. These certifications include "Ionic 2/Ionic 3 - Build iOS & Android Apps" from Udemy, "Diseño web" from Teachlr, "Adobe Photoshop CS6 para fotografía" from Teachlr, and "Creación y Difusión de Publicaciones Digitales" from VMF Venezuela Móvil Festival. Gustavo also completed a special workshop called "Taller Especial VMF" at Escuela VMF. Furthermore, Gustavo attended the "Decimo Festival de Cine Venezolano-Mérida 2014" organized by FUNDEARC and completed a basic photography course at Movimiento Fotográfico Venezolano. Lastly, they obtained the "EFSET EXPRESS Basic Proficiency (CEFR A1/A2)" certification from EF Education First.
