Garima Sakargayen

Garima Sakargayen has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Garima currently holds the position of Cyber Security Analyst at both GeneDx and Sema4 since March 2021. Previously, Garima worked as a DevOps Fellow at Insight Data Science from September 2020 to April 2021. Garima also served as a Cyber Security Intern at Colorado State University from May 2019 to January 2021, where they focused on resolving user problems, improving operations, and conducting security audits. Before that, they worked as a Data Security Analyst at Alliant Infotech from May 2016 to September 2017, where they managed the Security Operations Center (SOC) team and implemented Anti-Phishing policies. Garima started their career as a Cyber Security Coordinator at Acropolis Institute of Management Studies & Research from June 2015 to April 2016, where they collaborated with the Cyber Threat Team and provided technical consultation on security tools and controls.

Garima Sakargayen completed their Master of Computer Information Systems degree with a specialization in Data and Cloud Security from the Colorado State University College of Business. Garima attended the university from 2018 to 2020. In addition to their degree, Garima Sakargayen has obtained several certifications. In June 2020, they became an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Garima also earned the Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in December 2022. Furthermore, Garima Sakargayen obtained the Vulnerability Management Specialist certification from Qualys in February 2023.
