Ron Hopper

Ron Hopper is an experienced law enforcement leader currently serving at the Seminole County Sheriff's Office since August 2021. Previously, Ron held significant roles within the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) from 1998 to 2021, including Assistant Special Agent in Charge, where responsibilities included managing a $2M budget and overseeing 150 personnel in Central Florida's national security investigations. Other notable positions in the FBI included Supervisory Special Agent, Unit Chief of the Domestic Terrorism Operations Unit, and Special Agent, with extensive experience leading investigations into various criminal activities and supervising multiple task forces. Ron commenced a law enforcement career as a Deputy Sheriff at the Hernando County Sheriff's Office from 1993 to 1998 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Central Florida, along with coursework towards a Master of Arts in Criminology from the University of South Florida.
