Sara Ocampo Moreno

Sara Ocampo Moreno has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and analysis. Sara most recently worked at Sempli as a Data Engineer starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at ARUS Oficial where they held multiple roles including Data Engineer and BI Analyst. In these positions, they built systems to collect and manage data, created data pipeline architecture, extracted and transformed data from various sources, and conducted reporting and analysis using tools like Power BI. Sara also has experience in research and development, particularly in reporting statistical and financial data, and conducting analytical reports and telephone campaigns to collect and analyze information. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Visiting Scholar at The George Washington University and as a Research Assistant at Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia.

Sara Ocampo Moreno completed their education with a postgraduate diploma in Big Data and Business Intelligence from Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia in the academic year 2019-2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the same institution, completing their studies in the years 2013-2018. In addition to their formal education, Sara has also acquired additional certifications, including the Spark Fundamentals Course for Big Data, AWS Redshift Course for Big Data Management, and Practical Course of Databases in AWS, all obtained from Platzi in 2022.
