Carlos de la Vega

Carlos de la Vega has a comprehensive work experience within the energy industry. Carlos is currently serving as the VP of Marketing & Commercial Development at Sempra Infrastructure since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Sempra Infrastructure as the Director of Hydrogen Business Development from April 2021 to March 2022 and as the Director of LNG Marketing & Commercial Development from August 2015 to March 2021.

Before joining Sempra Infrastructure, they held the position of Director of LNG Commercial at Golden Pass LNG from February 2014 to July 2015. Prior to that, they worked at Qatargas, where they served as the Head of LNG Marketing - East of Suez from March 2011 to February 2014 and as the Head of LNG Receiving Terminals from March 2009 to February 2011.

Carlos de la Vega's earlier experiences include a role as the Manager of LNG Business Development at NorthernStar Natural Gas from January 2006 to February 2009 and as the Business Development Manager at Renewable Biofuels Inc. from January 2007 to January 2009. Carlos also worked as the Manager of Strategic Planning at El Paso Merchant Energy from June 2001 to June 2006 and as a Senior Process Engineer at bp from 1995 to 2001.

Carlos de la Vega obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University in the year 1995. Later, they attended Tulane University - A.B. Freeman School of Business and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Energy Finance in the year 2000.
