David Markland

David Markland has over 20 years of work experience in the technology and telecommunications industry. David currently holds the position of GM & VP of Product Management at Semtech, where they have been working since April 2023. Prior to this, they were the Senior Director of Product Management at Semtech from January to April 2023.

Before joining Semtech, David worked at Sierra Wireless for almost 10 years, starting in May 2013. During their time there, they held the role of Senior Director of Product Management, responsible for the Product Management of the AirLink Router & Gateway Portfolio.

From November 2009 to May 2013, David worked at Tantalus Systems Corp. as the Director of Technical Services. David managed wireless and optical fiber-based Smart Grid Infrastructure projects, ensuring the smooth deployment of over a million meters and generating $60 million in revenue.

Prior to that, David held various positions at Telemisis, Alan Dick International, Siemens, and Roke Manor Research, where they gained expertise in product management, technical project leadership, and engineering.
