Markus Kirchberg

Markus Kirchberg has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Markus is currently the Head of Artificial Intelligence at Potion, a technology company that allows businesses to produce and edit personalized videos at scale. Markus also serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore, responsible for Capstone projects as part of the M.Sc. by Coursework Programme. From 2017 to 2020, they held various positions, including Chief Executive & Technology Officer at Wismut Labs, a Singapore-based technology innovation company, Fellow at On Deck, Advisor and (Acting) Chief Technology Officer at Kommunity Ventures, Academic Advisor at Roboto Coding Academy, and Head of Technology at SoptAI, where they were responsible for the design and development of an autonomous forecasting & optimisation SaaS platform for supply chain and finance. Prior to that, they served as Founder and Managing Director at Deep Labs Pte. Ltd. and Chief Information Officer at Kommerce. Markus also co-founded Lights of Bliss Pte. Ltd. in 2009, where their main responsibilities included corporate governance and financial accounting & reporting.

Markus Kirchberg earned a PhD in Information Systems from Massey University between 2000 and 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a Master/Diplom in Computer Science from Technische Universität Clausthal between 1995 and 2000.
