Mahesh Shastry

Mahesh Shastry is a highly experienced data scientist currently working at Sense since August 2017, focusing on machine learning algorithms for energy disaggregation in home-energy monitoring systems. Prior to this role, Mahesh served as a researcher at OHSU from June 2015 to July 2017, where algorithm development for healthcare applications was a primary focus. Mahesh also held the position of research engineer at 3M from April 2013 to June 2015, leading projects in acoustic signal processing and filing multiple invention records. Educational background includes a PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka. Mahesh's academic contributions include teaching modern signal processing and engineering electromagnetics courses.
