Aaron Zarraga

Co-Founder & CEO at Sensel

Aaron Zarraga is the co-founder and CTO of Sensel, a company that makes pressure-sensitive input devices. Aaron has a background in software and hardware development, with experience in both research and industry.

Aaron's interest in technology began at a young age. Aaron started their first internship with Raytheon when they were just 16 years old. Over the next three summers, they worked on various projects, including developing software for missile guidance systems.

After graduating from high school, Aaron attended Stanford University. Aaron worked as a research assistant in the Neural Prosthetics Lab, where they helped develop implants that allow people with paralysis to control prosthetic limbs with their thoughts.

In 2011, Aaron began working at Lab126, a research and development subsidiary of Amazon. Aaron worked on a variety of projects, including the development of the PagePress feature for the Kindle Voyage and firmware for the Amazon Dash product. Aaron also holds seven patents for their work at Lab126.

In 2013, Aaron left Lab126 to co-found Sensel. Sensel's first product is the Sensel Morph, a pressure-sensitive input device that can be used as a trackpad, keyboard, or musical instrument. The Sensel Morph has been featured in publications such as WIRED, Engadget, and TechCrunch.

Aaron Zarraga completed a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, followed by a BS in Electrical Engineering from the same institution.
