Mehmet Yiğitcan Yeşilata has held several positions in the tech industry. Mehmet Yiğitcan began their career in 2014 as an Engineering Intern at Schneider Electric, where they developed a system that read data from PLC via Modbus protocol. In 2015, they joined the Berkeley Education Alliance for Research in Singapore as a Research Intern, where they were responsible for collecting and analyzing sensor and wireless signal data to predict occupant's location precisely in the building. In 2017, they co-founded Sensgreen, a Techstars backed smart building IoT startup, where they served as Co-Founder and CTO. Mehmet Yiğitcan's work at Sensgreen included presenting a scalable, affordable and configurable disruptive solution to monitor and manage indoor air in commercial buildings without the traditional BMS on a building-wide scale.

Mehmet Yiğitcan Yeşilata completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Middle East Technical University in 2017. Mehmet Yiğitcan then pursued a Master of Science in Building Science from the same university, which they are expected to complete in 2021. Prior to this, they attended the Ankara Science High School from 2007 to 2011.
