Yoni Eliashiv

Climate Scientist at Sensible Weather

Yoni Eliashiv is a climate scientist who currently works at Sensible Weather. Before that, they worked as a senior atmospheric data scientist at ClimaCell from May 2019 to December 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a graduate student researcher at Scripps Institution of Oceanography from June 2013 to March 2019, where they studied the effect of data assimilation on the Community Earth Systems Model (CESM). Yoni also worked as a cultural heritage computer model developer at the Anthropology Department of UCSD from January 2013 to April 2013, where they explored the decomposition of pirate ships in the Mediterranean sea using analytical modeling techniques.

Yoni Eliashiv completed their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD at the University of California, San Diego in the field of Oceanography, Chemical and Physical. They also completed a Master's Degree at UC San Diego in the field of Climate Sciences. For their Bachelor of Science (BS), they attended UC San Diego and studied Computational Physics & Earth Sciences. Lastly, they are certified as an EMT from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
