Jürg Eugster

Head Of R D Technologies Sensor Integration Processes at Sensirion

Jürg Eugster has a diverse work experience in the fields of research and development. Jürg started their career at ETH Zurich as a Ph.D. student and teaching assistant, where they conducted statistical analysis of data recorded by the CMS Experiment at CERN and focused on the search for the Standard Model Higgs Boson. Jürg then joined CERN as a research fellow and later became a CERN user, where they conducted statistical analysis of petabytes of data recorded by the CMS Experiment. Jürg also developed a new method to measure the top quark mass and was responsible for Monte Carlo simulation production for top quark physics. Currently, they are working at Sensirion as the Head of R&D Technologies Sensor Integration Processes, where they lead the research and development efforts in sensor integration processes. Prior to this role, they held positions as a Senior R&D Process Engineer and R&D Process Engineer at Sensirion, focusing on research and development processes.

Jürg Eugster completed their education in a chronological order, starting with their studies at Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz from 1997 to 2002. During this time, they obtained a degree in Mathematics, specifically a Matura Typus C qualification. Following this, Jürg enrolled at ETH Zürich and pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in High energy particle Physics between 2002 and 2008. Lastly, they continued their studies at ETH Zürich, completing a Ph.D. in Physics with a specialization in the Search for the Standard Model Higgs Boson from 2008 to 2013.
