Michele Gianella has a strong background in research and engineering, focusing on the development of sensors and spectroscopic techniques. They have been working at Sensirion since 2023 as an R&D Engineer. Prior to that, they were with IRsweep from 2022 to 2023, also as an R&D Engineer. From 2018 to 2022, Michele worked as a Researcher at Empa. Before that, they held positions as a Postdoc Research Associate at the University of Oxford from 2015 to 2018 and as a Marie Curie Fellow at the same institution from 2013 to 2015. Michele also worked as a Postdoc at ETH Zurich from 2011 to 2012 and as a Doctoral candidate at the same institution from 2007 to 2011, focusing on the analysis of surgical smoke using infrared laser spectroscopy.
Michele Gianella completed their education in 2006 with a degree in Physics from ETH Zürich.
