Adhithyan Ramadoss

Adhithyan Ramadoss has worked in various roles across a range of companies since 2011. Theirwork experience began as an Internship Trainee at the Combat Vehicle Research & Development Establishment in 2011. Adhithyan then worked as a Graduate Engineering Trainee and Procurement Engineer at TechnipFMC from 2013 to 2017. During this time, they received training in various departments of the workplace and on software such as Intergraph - Smartplant Instrumentation and Intergraph - Smartplant Materials. Adhithyan also had an on-site training period at the Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Ltd.

From 2017 to 2018, Adhithyan worked as a Research Assistant (HiWi) at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and at the International Audio Laboratories Erlangen. At the University, they estimated the performance of different probability distribution function assumptions in maximum likelihood estimation of reverberation time (T60). At the Laboratories, they were a teaching assistant in the Preparation Course MATLAB Programming and prepared a Georgian music dataset for further processing.

Adhithyan then worked as a Research Associate (Wissenchaftliche Mitarbeiter) at Fraunhofer IIS from 2019 to 2022. During this time, they worked on neural model training and finetuning for NLU tasks such as intent classification, entity recognition, and co-reference resolution. Adhithyan also developed an inverse text normalisation for German numbers and dates with a rule-based algorithm.

Finally, Adhithyan is currently a Research Engineer at Sensory, Inc. since 2022. Theirroles include neural model development for punctuation and capitalization, inverse text normalisation, sound event detection, custom vocabulary detection for ASR engine, and chatbot demo using Rasa. Adhithyan uses software tools such as Python and libraries such as PyTorch, Pandas, spaCy, and transformers (Huggingface).

Adhithyan Ramadoss has an extensive educational background. Adhithyan completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Instrumentation and Control from Anna University in 2013. Adhithyan then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Communication and Multimedia Engineering from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, which they completed in 2019. Prior to this, they completed their Class XI - XII from N.S.N Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai, India in 2009. Adhithyan also holds certifications from ISTQB® - International Software Testing Qualifications Board, Goethe-Institut Chennai, and University of Cambridge. These certifications include Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) (obtained in 2021), Goethe-Zertifikat A2 (obtained in 2015), and Business English Certificate Vantage (obtained in 2012).
