Daniel van Vuuren

Daniel van Vuuren has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Daniel is currently the Head of Department at SEO Amsterdam Economics since November 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of a Professor at Tilburg University since January 2017. In September 2022, they joined Rijksoverheid as a Member State Commission Demographic trends 2050 and also became the Board Treasurer at ESB Economisch Statistische Berichten. From January 2018 to February 2023, they served as a Board Member at KVS Economenvereniging. From April 2018 to December 2022, they were the Board Treasurer at SBHC Xenios, responsible for managing the finances of a field hockey club and overseeing the realization of a new sports facility. Daniel was the Head of Department at De Argumentenfabriek from August 2019 to October 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Department at Centraal Planbureau from June 2002 to July 2019. Daniel'searly work experience includes being a Researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from March 1997 to January 2007.

Daniel van Vuuren completed their education at various institutions. Daniel started their academic journey in 1979 at 2e Marnixschool and completed their studies there in 1986. Afterward, they attended Dr. F.H. de Bruijne Lyceum from 1986 to 1993. During this period, they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. Following this, Daniel attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Econometrics. Daniel continued their education at VU Amsterdam from 1998 to 2002, completing their doctoral studies in Economics and earning a Ph.D.
