Steve McKerrall

Steve McKerrall has held various positions in the field of medicinal chemistry. From 2022 to present, they have served as Director of Medicinal Chemistry for Septerna. From 2014 to 2022, they were a Principal Scientist and Chemistry Team Leader at Genentech, where they were responsible for leading a medicinal chemistry team on an Immunology project in early stage research and managing a collaborative team of internal and external FTEs across multiple sites. Steve also held the role of Senior Scientist and Chemistry Team Leader at Genentech. From 2010 to 2014, they were a PhD Student at The Scripps Research Institute. In 2009, they were an NSF-REU Fellow at Georgetown University.

Steve McKerrall received their B.S. in Chemistry and Philosophy from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2010. Steve then went on to pursue a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Scripps Research, which they completed in 2014.
