Alyson Silva

Quality Control Supervisor at Serán Bioscience

Alyson Silva has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific field. In 2014, they completed a summer internship at ZymoGenetics, where they worked in the protein purification department to create a tighter assay for the Fortebio Octet in order to create a better antibody (mAb) production. In 2016, they worked as a Summer Research Student at Whitworth University with Dr. William Ntow, analyzing sediment samples from the Little Spokane River for phosphorous adsorption characteristics under aerobic and anaerobic conditions. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Lab Analyst I at ChemTrace™ Analytical Labs, and then as a Product Development Scientist at Lonza. Currently, they are working as a Quality Control Scientist at Serán Bioscience.

Alyson Silva earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Whitworth University in 2017, after studying there from 2013 to 2017. Alyson then went on to earn a Master's degree in Chemistry from Western Washington University, studying there from 2017 to 2019.
