Kai Skvarla

Kai Skvarla has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their role as a Senior Vice President at Serco, a $6.1 billion company. In this position, they currently lead Serco's Global Maritime and Defense portfolio, which generates approximately $1.4 billion in revenue. Prior to this, Kai held various positions at BMT, including President/CEO and Vice President of Operations. During their tenure at BMT, Kai successfully implemented a multi-niche growth strategy, resulting in consistent revenue growth and increased earnings. Before joining BMT, Kai worked as the Director of Project Management at Amerigen Pharmaceuticals. They also have a background in the United States Coast Guard, where they were promoted multiple times and ultimately served as the Naval Shipbuilding Program Manager, overseeing all aspects of a major acquisition project. Prior to their time in the Coast Guard, Kai worked as a Senior Naval Architect at JJMA.

Kai Skvarla obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1998. Additionally, they also received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the same institution in the same year. In 2008, they pursued an MBA degree specializing in Strategy, Finance, and Systems Dynamics from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
