Dr. Jennifer Guerguis

Dr. Jennifer Guerguis, PhD, LMFT has extensive work experience in the mental health field. Dr. Jennifer is currently the Founder and Chief Clinical Officer at Serene Health since December 2019. Prior to that, they served as an Assistant Professor at Westcliff University starting from May 2018. Dr. Guerguis also has their own business, Dr. Jen Bright Heart, where they help people reach a brighter heart through their publications such as books, e-books, blogs, interviews, and articles. Dr. Jennifer started this venture in June 2016. Before branching out on their own, they worked as a Marriage and Family Therapist at Kaiser Permanente from September 2011 to September 2019 and at CareMore Health Plan from October 2007 to September 2011. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern at Children's Bureau from March 2006 to October 2007, a Mental Health Specialist at La Familia Treatment Center from April 2005 to March 2006, and a Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee at Chapman University Community Clinic from January 2005 to January 2006. Dr. Jennifer also worked as a Reading Teacher at Hooked On Phonics from January 2004 to February 2005 and as a School Counselor at Outreach Concern, Inc. from September 2003 to June 2004.

Dr. Jennifer Guerguis, PhD, LMFT obtained their Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UC Irvine in 2003. Dr. Jennifer then pursued their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Chapman University from 2003 to 2006. Later, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organizational Psychology from Walden University, completing their studies between 2010 and 2015.
