Intake Coordinator

Serenity Behavioral Health Services is hiring an Intake Coordinator with strong administrative and clinical skills to work in our Intake Department. Our Intake Department is the front door to the services we provide to our clients. As a Serenity Behavioral Health Services Intake Coordinator, you will work closely with the Intake Manager in processing and scheduling clients, and help new clients navigate our intake process - this includes talking to clients on the phone and via email; processing client intake paperwork, and scheduling clients for their first appointment within our agency. Intake Coordinator candidates should have experience working within a Behavioral Health Program, exhibit excellent customer service and supervisory skills, and work as a team leader.

Qualifications

• Associates's degree or higher in mental health, counseling, business, or 2+ years experience in a healthcare or hospital setting

• Service-oriented team member with a professional and positive attitude when working with colleagues and clients

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Thorough understanding of Medicaid, Medicaid HMOs, and commercial and private pay structures.

• Self-reliant, responsible, and flexible and able to quickly understand new ideas and job assignments

• Excellent customer service skills

• Highly focused and results-oriented in supporting complex, deadline-driven operations; able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues in initial stages

• Core competencies: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and an understanding of EMR systems

Salary ranges: 

$18 - 22/hour
