Ruben D. Cortes-Torres

Ruben D. Cortes-Torres has over 18 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Ruben D. currently holds the position of Principal Scientist at Seres Therapeutics, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Scientist, Analytical Science & Technology at Seres Therapeutics from January 2022 to January 2023. Before joining Seres Therapeutics, Ruben worked at Lonza as a Senior QC Scientist from October 2018 to September 2020. Ruben D. also gained significant experience during their tenure at BD, where they held the roles of Biochemist II from May 2011 to September 2018 and Biochemist I from November 2007 to May 2011. Ruben began their career as a Quality Control Laboratory Technician at Eli Lilly and Company in July 2003, where they worked until November 2007.

Ruben D. Cortes-Torres attended the University of Puerto Rico-Bayamon from 1998 to 2003. Ruben D. pursued a degree in Biology with a focus on the Human Approach, specializing in Human Biology. In addition to their academic achievements, Ruben has obtained several certifications. In August 2023, they completed the "Lead with Positive Power" certification offered by LinkedIn. Prior to that, in June 2023, Ruben completed the "Communication Foundations" certification also provided by LinkedIn. In May 2023, they obtained the "Skills for Your First 90 Days as a New Manager" certification, and in March 2023, they completed the "Preventing Discrimination & Harassment: US Employees V4.1" certification, which was offered by Traliant.
