Katie Gibson

Katie Gibson has worked in a variety of roles in the accounting and hospitality industries. From 2012 to 2015, they were a Sales & Program Manager at Landmark, where they managed 3 educational programs and departments, made cold calls to fill evening and weekend seminars, and achieved the highest attendance for weekend seminars within 10 years. From 2015 to 2017, they were an Assistant General Manager at Hampton, where they managed daily operations of the hotel during full renovations, hired and trained a new front desk team, general staff, and managers, and increased guest satisfaction scores from the bottom of the brand to the top 50%. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Staff Accountant at Hotel Californian, where they created Standard Operating Procedures for the newly established Accounts Receivable role, audited and processed incoming cash, and other general cashier duties, and audited sales estimates and created final invoices sent to customers. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Staff Accountant at Mitchell & Associates, APC, where they prepared monthly financial statements for various industries, prepared individual 1040 Tax Returns, and prepared non-profit 990 Tax Returns. Currently, they are a Senior Staff Accountant at Serimmune Inc.

Katie Gibson attended Saint Mary's College High School from 2003 to 2007. Katie then attended San Francisco State University from 2007 to 2009. Afterward, they attended California State University Channel Islands from 2018 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business. Katie is currently attending California State University-Sacramento, where they are pursuing a Master of Science in Accountancy.
