Dan Novotney has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Dan started their career as a Store Management Trainee at American Stores in 1987 and worked in various positions within the company until 1998. Dan then worked as an Assistant Product Manager at American Stores Company before joining ACNielsen as an Account Executive in 1998. In 1999, they became a Category Development Manager at Bristol-Myers Squibb.
In 2000, Novotney joined ConAgra Foods as a Business Development Manager, where they were later promoted to Director of Customer Development. Dan led a team and implemented brand/customer strategies, resulting in sales growth. Dan worked at ConAgra Foods until 2005.
Novotney then joined Sara Lee as a National Category Planning Manager before moving to The Nielsen Company in 2006, where they served as an Associate Client Director.
In 2007, they joined Chiquita Brands North America as a Customer Development Team Lead, leading a team supporting Chiquita's Walmart business. Dan later became a Category Development Lead responsible for Walmart's salad, banana, and fruit business.
In 2010, Novotney joined Kimberly-Clark, initially as a Virtual Reality Category Management Leader before being promoted to roles such as Category Advisor Lead, Sr. Sales Strategy Manager, Director of Channel Strategy, and National Category Sales Director. Dan led various teams and implemented strategies to drive sales growth, improve profitability, and enhance execution.
Most recently, Novotney joined Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC in 2022. Dan first served as Vice President Trade Strategy and was promoted to Vice President Trade Strategy & Commercial Operations. In this role, they lead a cross-functional team responsible for sales and profitability, delivering positive share increases and driving growth.

Dan Novotney earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Food & CPG Management from Western Michigan University - Haworth College of Business, which they attended from 1992 to 1995.
