Ken Kerns has more than 30 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Ken started their career as a Design Engineer for aerospace companies, including McDonnell Douglas and Northrop Corporation. Ken then moved on to Lockheed Martin, where they became an Integrated Product Team Lead and achieved certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt. At Rhythms NetConnections, they served as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and improved service delivery and customer satisfaction. Ken also worked at Macy's as an Operating Vice President, focusing on continuous improvement initiatives. Ken later joined BlueLinx Corporation, where they served as Vice President, leading inventory, pricing, and business analytics. Most recently, Ken has been working at Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC as Vice President, overseeing logistics and warehousing operations, and driving strategies to reduce costs and improve customer service in the rapidly growing ecommerce and direct-to-consumer sales channels. Overall, Ken has shown a strong background in operations management, process improvement, and leadership throughout their career.

Ken Kerns obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1988. Ken also holds additional certifications, including a Six Sigma Black Belt from SSA & Company (obtained in 1998) and an MRB Certification per MIL-STD-1520A from Lockheed Martin (obtained in 1994).
