Shiv Balakrishnan has extensive experience in technical support leadership, currently serving as the VP of Technical Support at ServiceNow since December 2014, after previously holding the position of Senior Director Technical Support. Prior to ServiceNow, Shiv worked at Symantec from October 2007 to December 2014 as the Director of Technical Support and held the role of Technical Support Manager at BMC Software from September 2000 to October 2007. Academically, Shiv earned a Certificate in Strategy & Leadership from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow in 2013, an MBA in Management from XLRI Jamshedpur (2004-2006), and a BA in Economics from Madras Christian College (1997-2000). Early education includes completing Class 12 with a focus on Economics, Accountancy, Maths, and Commerce at Lawrence School Lovedale (1992-1997).
