John Lemko

John Lemko has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and technology. John served as the Director of Cybersecurity Operations at Servus Credit Union starting from November 2023. Prior to that, they worked at ATCO Electric as the Supervisor of CIP & SOC Compliance from June 2022 to October 2023. John also had managerial roles at ATCO Group, where they were the Manager of Cyber Security Operations from January 2020 to July 2022 and the Supervisor of Cyber Security Operations from July 2018 to January 2020. John gained further experience at ATCO Electric as the Supervisor of the Cyber Security Office from March 2018 to July 2018, and as a Senior Security Specialist of the Cyber Security Office from August 2011 to March 2018. John's career also includes roles as an OpenText ECM Analyst at Strathcona County from September 2010 to August 2011, a SCADA Analyst at ATCO Electric from August 2007 to September 2010, and an IT Consultant at MTS ALLSTREAM INC from 2005 to 2007. At MTS ALLSTREAM INC, they worked on projects such as the redesign of a SharePoint server for the Government of Alberta and the implementation of the first fully automated online taxi booking service in Alberta. John Lemko obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business from the University of Alberta, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. In addition to their degree, they have acquired several certifications throughout their career, including the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control™ (CRISC) from ISACA in 2021. Other certifications include INF260x: Microsoft Azure Security Services from edX in 2020, eWPT from eLearnSecurity in 2018, Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) from Offensive Security in 2017, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2014, and CCNA from Cisco in April 2009.
