Zhengping Zhou

Zhengping (Jim) Zhou is an experienced professional in the field of materials science and battery technology, currently serving as Associate Director and Team Leader for Coated Anode & Separator at SES AI Corp since December 2021. Previously, Zhou held the position of Principal Scientist at SES AI, contributing to the development of high-performance lithium-metal rechargeable batteries for the electric vehicle market. With a background that includes roles as Senior Scientist, Research Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Research Assistant Professor at North Dakota State University, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Virginia Tech, Zhou has demonstrated expertise in the design and synthesis of polymer systems and electrolytes, leadership in research projects, and a commitment to innovation in battery technology.
